I have a Johnson 1996 175hp Ocean Runner. Had lots of electrical problems so replaced the ignition system and the wiring harness on the motor. My problem is the motor will start and continue running as long as I hold the key but when I release it the motor stops. I have tried by passing the key switch and I again can crank and start the engine but as soon as I stop cranking the engine stops. Any ideas as to why this is happening. Many Thanks.
