Hey guys,
New to the forum and I'm looking for advice. I recently replaced the impeller on my 2000 year model Johnson 115. Unfortunately, the shift shaft inadvertantly rotated while moving the lower unit around (I don't know which way). I'm having no luck getting the shift shaft re-connected to the linkage under the carbs. I've attempted to set the neutral height per my service manual, but still can not get the pin to engage into the shift shaft. According to the manual the shift shaft length should be 21 3/32 - 21 5/32. However, I've noticed that there is much more than 2/32 play in the shift shaft while in neutral. I'm looking for any advice at this point as I am literally stumped here.
Thanks,
Brad
