My 2003 Johnson 175 was not spraying very much water out and then got hot. I assumed it was the water pump so I replaced it with the oem kit. When I first started it up it sprayed good and strong. After about 30 seconds the spray reduced and it seemed like the engine was getting hot again. I did not wait for the buzzer to alarm before I turned it off.
I removed the thermostats and it made no difference.
Does anyone have an idea of what to check next?
