Anyone have instructions for rebuilding the lower unit? Specifically, gear lash and shim specs? broke the dog clutch, shrapnel in gears, bearings ok. Got new gear set (pinion, fwd, rev, dog clutch and spring) and upon reassbly prep I noticed a shim on the input shaft/drive shaft. My experience with gear sets (auto rearends) is always set gear lash with pinion shims. My wonderful new repair manual doesn't tell me a thing I didn't already know and is very short on technical specs (selco?)
