I am new to this forum, and reviewed several threads but didn't see exactly what my problem is...PLEASE HELP... My 2000 model 115 hp Johnson runs like a top, until you cut it off and try to restart it.. If you do, it will hit then shut back down with a healthy puff of smoke.. It will continue to do this as many times as you try.. give her about 45 minutes and she will hit off and run on the first round..smoke rolling... We pulled the spark plugs and they are fouled with oil cleaned and replaced and still no crank till cooled off.. Let me tell what I have done already.. replaced fuel bulb and line from it to motor, replaced fuel vapor separator/ bracket n its gasket (was cracked), gasket in primer silinode plus the lil red handle on primer, cleaned fuel filter, and several sets of spark plugs...compression is even across the board think it was 120.. power head was rebuilt back in 03 with new vro pump.. Please help, I AM STUMPED.. could it be the fuel pump ?
