Have a j8fredc model a '96 4 stroke motor. New carb kit and cannot get it to idle. Had it in to a good shop and they could not fix the problem. Am now working on idle adj. while I get some change cannot get it to idle. Needs choke on to run but cannot get it to idle as it stalls. Is it possible I got the wrong carb repair kit from I-Boats Motor starts on 2nd pull and feel carb is full of gas as when I open float chamber gas comes out. Assume it is an idle adjustment but have tried several time to correct the problem. Have disconnected the input hose while running and gas pumps out but very weakly and assume it is probably normal as it probably doesn't take much to keep the float chamber full. Any ideas out there??
