  • No spark

I accidentally left the ignition switch on overnight on my 1984 70hp. Now I don't have any spark. The battery didn't go dead and cranks well. Looking at the wiring, diagram it looks like the ignition is cut off by going to ground and I don't see any hot wires that feed the ignition module so why would leaving the key on damage it?

Ok, as a follow up since no one can answer why my power pack failed, I got home and installed the extra power pack hat I had from a motor that I scraped out. Started right up. I still don't understand why leaving the key on would damage the power pack as it doesn't have a hot ignition wire going to it. It looks like it only gets power while cranking. Am I missing something?
