04 150 tilt issue

I've got an issue that I was hoping someone might have encountered before and could impart some advice. My up button on the throttle control only engages the up tilt motor some times (no click or noise of any kind), though the down always works. I've tried using the button on the side of the cowling and it is also only sporadically working, so I don't think that its the switches. After pushing the button several times it will work quite well, but I know that sooner or later it will not work at all, as boat motors are rarely self healing! If it was clicking I'd try running power to the motor directly to bypass the relay (neither of which I've ever tried locating), but it does nothing until it works perfectly.



Any thoughts?
