Hi folks, I am new to this forum but it looks like it has a lot of great info. I have a year 2000 Ocean Pro 225. I have been having a problem for a while now with fluctuating RPM's . Without touching the throttle they will drop 400 - 500 RPMs at 4500 and then bounce up again. This will repeat itself over and over.
I had the carbs rebuilt over the winter and the compression test was good. I've also cleaned the vent for the gas tank that is located in the fill cap. This problem is most prevalent the first 15 - 20 minutes of operation and then it smooths out and only fluctuates once in a while. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any thoughts on what to check next? BTW... All my fuel is bought at the marina and no one is having issues with poor fuel quality.
