Giday I have a Johnson 115 2 stroke model number is j115plsor. On my last trip out I noticed the tilt/trim gauge on the dashboard was stuck in the full down position. The tilt/trim appeared/is working fine.
On inspecting the system I noticed the arm on the sender unit had become stuck. After freeing the arm and manually operating it the gauge on the dashboard is responding.
However when I tilt/trim the motor the gauge is now stationary in the full up position. I have tried to watch how the system works when operating but can not work out how the arm on the sender unit is manipulatd as the engine goes up and down. The arm does not touch anything and nothing from the motor comes close to the arm.
Can anyone tell me how the arm is manipulated.
