I just acquired a 4W69B 4hp motor....hadn't been run since 1985 but I cleaned up the carb, put some new needle valve packing and a new float valve and it fired right up. I don't have a manual for this motor and want to know where I should set the initial high and low speed mixture needle valves?
They were set at about 1/4turn open for the high speed and about 1 1/4 open for the low speed. Engine runs but doesn't idle at the "start" throttle position - if I set it a bit above that it will stay running but it sure isn't an "idle speed" setting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
