Hi people.
I have a 1978 20 hp Johnson with an exhaust problem. The water pump is working fine and it runs cool,but it blows raw exhaust (no water) from the front of the motor and against the swivel bracket. It also sounds like a dirt bike! In the parts diagram it looks like there is an odd shaped exhaust tube or sleeve inside the exhaust housing. Do they rot out? What do you think I should look for?
