Hello, new guy here with a question. Sorry for the long post, just trying to give as much info as possible. I have an '02 115 2stroke that runs on three cyl at low speed but clears up as I increase throttle and runs great from 2500rpm and up. It sometimes runs intermittently on all four at start up but once it cuts out, it stays that way all day. Symptoms are typical of a plugged pilot circuit or jet in the carb but I removed and cleaned them thoroughly and the problem still exists. I do all my own work on my sleds and motorcycles and have done carbs many times and feel I did a very thorough job. Is there anything beyond the carbs that I should check out? Bad reed valve possible? Or do I need to just pull and clean carbs again? Thanks! I have changed plugs numerous times and the wires and boots still look new.
Quick update: just did a compression check, all holes at 130psi cold (that's a relief!) and plugs look nice medium brown. I'm stumped! Going to get some some muffs, run it and pull on plug wire at a time to see if I can determine which cyl is not firing.
