1992 Johnson spl 48 steering problems

I need to pull the steering arm shaft. I was just wondering if anybody has done this and could help point me in the right direction. Thanks Nate

Pull engine, lower unit and remove mid section, may need to use heat to remove bottom motor mount block from shaft.
