Hi everyone,
I have a 1977 70hp Evinrude that I would like to install a water separating fuel filter on. If I go ahead and install the filter, it will be inline with a portable gas tank and after the primer bulb. The filter is a Parker (like Racor, only cheaper) 10 micron water separating filter and the maximum lift height would be 23 inches from the bottom of the tank to the fuel pump.
This motor has 125 LBS of compression on all 3 cylinders and I just installed a brand new fuel pump (not rebuilt). My question is, is this filter going to cause too much restriction and starve my engine at WOT?
Thanks!!!
Rob
