Engine stalls when accelerating

The engine is a 1996 Johnson 150....... Hey bud When at idle or slow speed and then I start to give it more throttle, the engine boggs down and stalls.....will start right back up..... If I push in the choke twice and then throttle it, it takes off and runs fine at any speed

The VRO has been dis connected and I mix the oil and gas.
When I pump the bulb, it does not get firm and sometimes seems to flood the engine

I was going to re-build the carbs, or check the fuel pump, but I read somewhere that the problem may be in the vapor separator ????

Remove and clean carbs, should solve it.
