78 55hp

I have a 78 55 hp which I bought to put on a pontoon. It runs great at idle through about half throttle. With the throttle wide open it will not rev any higher than it did at half throttle. I have cleaned the carbs several times with no better results. Any ideas??

Check compression, check to see if loosing fire on one cylinder.
