2003 Johson 90hp 4stroke "extra long to long shaft"

Any body has experience in reducing shaft lenght from 25 to 20? Is this just removing the 5 inches extension with possibly new 20inch shaft driver. is the 25 inches driver 2 pieces or single and can that be shorten? i have an oportunity to buy this motor for a good deal but don't like jack plate? Please share some comments or experience, parts numbers...

thanks, i am not sure if this motor has the removable 5 inches extension. Picuture on Boat.net show it as a the whole housing longer. Also, what is the remote control part number. There is no listing on Boat.net. I would assume it is a Suzuki Control or a used Suzuki would do it. Please share some inputs.
