1979 25hp Johnson sync help-need pics!!!

Sorry folks. I know there are a million answers to syncing these motors. The problem I'm having is that the throttle advance stop was missing and i now have one but have no idea where to start as far as how far it should be screwed in. Would like measurement from end of screw to bracket (not nut). Also the lock on the shaft shown from the end to the lock. Looks like it has been moved 50 times. Does anyone have a late 70's early 80's 25/35 hp they can take a couple measurements for me. I would love to get this thing running right. Thanks so much for any help!

Have to set timing with that screw, need to check timing.
