update steering

I have a restored 60 hp johnson super sea horse electric model 1965. this motor was purchased with a 17 foot boston whaler. I want to mount it on another boat wirth updated steering ie no cable and pulleys. what kind of braket does it need to attach modern steering to motor? any help here will certainly be appreciated.

That motor probably doesn't have a tilt tube so would need a transom mounted steering mount.

Check with a local marine dealer they can help with steering system and mounts.
