2001 90 hp hot idle

motor wants to run very slow to stopping when warmed up at idle. otherwise, motor runs perfectly. i cannot find in my service manual what the adjustment lever is on the top of the primer solenoid. it is a black lever with a red cap on it. anyone know what this is. the manual does not mention it at all.

That is a manual override for the primer assy. You may need to adjust and resink carburetors.
