Hi,
Does anyone know whether this model of outboard has 'water deflectors'?
I am having overheating issues and have read about problems with these deflectors on other motors.
Everything I can think of which could be causing the problem has been changed out (T-stats, pump, impeller, powerhead gasket, exhaust seals, water tube grommets). I have tested temp sensors. I have also ran a solution through the cooling system to dissovle any salt, lime, calcium deposits.
Cannot work out what the issue is!!
Next step is to pull the head and take a peek inside.
The manual doesn't mention anything about water deflectors, so not sure if I will come across them.
Any advice would be appreciated.
