Knocking motor

I have a johnson model #bj30baess probably 1990 model.
Can anyone tell me why it starts knocking when i increase the speed and stops knocking when i decrease to minimum speed. Is it caused by a defective part and if so what is it? Thankyou

Run a compression test, may need to remove head and inspect.
