Ok I have a 1979 35hp johnson outboard. I have replaced the coils, stator, cdi, rectifier, plugs and wires, ignition and rewired it. I had spark after I did this I ran it all year last year and now this year I started it for about 2 min to idle it and then shut it off. Then about 3 days later I went to take it out and I have no spark. What Could it be. Did I burn up one of the new parts.

Check all your kill switches, then start testing the ignition components. All ignition can be tested but the cdi.

It should have a stop switch or a key switch to shut engine off, check stop switch. There is not 12 volts from battery or key switch going to any of ignition components it has a CDI ignition system.
