87 looper carbs/reeds Help me figure this one out

200 87 looper small bore I rebuilt the power head 600 hours ago. it runs right out to 5700 no sweat. I turned the VRO to just a fuel pump. I treated it with Seafoam recently for yearly carbon cleaning.

I've got unburned gas/oil in the carb cover. No coughing, no missing, doesn't appear down on power, but I can't confirm anything but feel. And no I havent done a compresion test.

It's started drinking gas (well, worse than normal), and I can't decide if the reeds are going, or the jets are shot. I didn't do either at the rebuild, they looked ok, but are original.

Fuel pump may have ruptured diaphram in it or have a reed valve not closing completely.

What could I test to check the pump?
Is there any test I can do to check the reeds before I pull it apart?

PS- I'll check the manual, but sometimes its easier to ask on a forum like this. I've gotten more good info from forums from first hand experience, I really appreciate your guys putting this up!!!!!!!
