Hello all, and thanks in advance for any help given.
I have an 87 Johnson V4 88hp outboard. When first put the boat in the water it runs great for about 10 mins or so. After that it loses most of its power.
I've replaced the plugs, wires, and drained all the old fuel out of the tank and filled it up with fresh 89 octane gas and fuel stabilizer. After the problem occurred I pulled all the plugs. Both plugs on the starboard side are a nice ****en brown. However the 2 plugs on the port side are black and wet. Any ideas on what might be wrong. I was thinking the the only thing the 2 cylinders have in common would be the carb. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also just wondering why it only does it after it warms up.
Thanks
Jerry
