starting

Hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me on this,....i have a 70hp Seahorse, i have just put a new starter on and i have a new battery to,....it cranks fine for the first couple of cranks, but on the third crank, it acts like the battery is flat,....has anyone got any ideas what it might be

When you say third crank are you stating after a day of running, the third time starting batter is dead, or immediately it won't run then the batter goes dead? Check all your connections, could also have a bad starter relay. If you run all day, the stator may not be charging battery and running will kill the battery.
