1996 johnson 15 4 stroke & 90 2 stroke

I recently purchased a 1996 lund boat with a 90hp 2 strk mod j90eledr & a 15hp 4 stroke kicker mod j15freledr having some trouble with the 15, carb issues, when I took it to the shop for repair they did what they could but told me that parts are obsolete for this motor, just wondering if i'm going to have the same issues with the 90 & did I make a mistake buying this boat with these motors. Don't really know what to do?

For the most part the important parts are still available for both engines. They are good engines you should be ok.
