I have a 90hp johnson 4 stroke fuel injected out board model # J90PL4SR. The motor starts and runs fine.Then while going down the lake it just quits you pump the ball and it will run again for a while then quit again. when it quits it gives off the same oder as a car when it deisels. I have replaced all of the fuel lines under the cover and also the ball and line to the tank and the fuel filters. I thought it could be water in the fuel so I put a fresh tank and gas on it didnt help. Any sugestions? Barry

Could be fuel pump issue, also may need to replace the anti-syphon valve at the fuel tank.
