lower unit extention removal

i have just bought an 85 j30rcoa that has had a lower unit extention instaled on it. i am puting it on a 16ft lowe boat and will be fishing alot of back creeks, trying to find info and/or a digram of how to remove the lower unit extintion any info would be very helpfull.

Unfortunately I do not have the diagram on how to remove the extension. If it is a factory long shaft then you need to purchase shorter driveshaft, shift shaft and bolts.

not a factory long shaft it is an after market extention

Then you maybe able to just remove the extension hardware and purchase the shorter bolts/studs.
