hiya all
i have a 115hp. 2 stroke- 1987 model
got some kelp around my inlet ports today- she got hot- i shut it downbefor the warning buzxzer went off( i dont know if the warning buzzer is working correctly or not)
i let it cool down, restarted and it started fine and ran fine- but one of the cylinders seemed hotter than the others- so i limped home with the kicker.
it is the upper cylinder on the starboard side of the boat.
i did ask the mechanics to do the thermostats when it was in there a few months ago.
i have only had this motor for a short time and it has run well up till now- but i cant say for sure whether that cylinder was running hotter than the others or not up till now- but it never overheated befor!!
i flush the motor for about 20 mins after everytime i have it in the water.
i know this is an old motor- but it is the only one i have-
is it save-able??
many thanks
