1988 110 HP Johnson

My 110 hp johnson will not turn over and start. The starter engages the fly wheel but will not turn it. Batteries are new and fully charged. Any suggetstions?

Can you manually start the engine?

No. i tried the pull chord but could not budge the flywheel. Also could not move flywheel by tapping with drive pin and hammer. What would cause the engine to freeze up if it was working without any symptoms when it was put up for the winter?

Did you fill the cylinders with fogging oil prior to winterization? Could be a hydraulic lock if you did. Try removing the spark plugs and rotating the engine by hand.
