250 cutting off

i have 2001 250 that runs and starts great even at high speeds.my problem is at idle it will, all of a sudden it cuts off,then you barely touch the key and it starts back up.doesnt matter if in gear or not.mainly does it when warmed up.still have the vro hooked up and it seems to use more oil than its supposed to but been like that since new. any help will be appreciated john

The VRO could be over oiling cause the unit to load up.
