  • insight into an older 115

i am new to this forum and new to johnson outboards, but i am looking to get my first, it's a 1975 115 with the powershift II setup. been sitting for a little over a decade, built in tilt/trim that is questionable. at this point as i get this beast home what things should i look at other than the obvious, compression, carbs, wiring ect.. i am unfamiliar with the powershift and the tilt/trim. thanks in advance for any insight.

If there is a problem with shift parts in gearcase or parts inside trim unit then most of those parts are no longer available.

i noticed that the tilt/trim only has one hyd cylinder and it appears to need two, there is even a capped line on the port side where it looks like one should be. should there in fact be two cylinders? if so any idea where to get my hands on one?
