wondering what year my motor is & what anyone's thoughts are on this motor

I have a Johnson Seahorse 115 hp (according to the engine cover). I'm trying to figure out what year it is. I have tried to understand the "introduce" code thingy that Johnson uses but the more I attempt to "decode" it, the more frustrated I become lol.

So...here is the model # 115393M & serial #J0010459. Can anyone tell me what year this motor is? And what they think of it? Thank you.

are u sure? It has power tilt which I've been told wasn't available till post '78....

That model number provided is for a 1973. Trim and tilt on that model was an add on accessory.
