hi guys pleasur already. and just want to be sure of my problems. so ill speak about the 68 or so johnson 9.5 motor its amazing how well this motor runs wich is why this comes .its my brothers motor but today he came back up off the river. and said his motor was acting funny. so he said as he goes down the water for a wile . amnd then its like it just going along .then it just starts reving high . its not kicking out of gear though . could this just be the prop going bad. or is this the cluch dogs hopeing just the . prop???????????
thanks guys in advance my other problem is a 93 johnson 9.9 it runs great as well i just put a thermostat in it. cause i thought it was running warm . now after the thermostat change it seemed to do fine .. but now seems to me that its running hot again . if i put my had on the case just below the motor. it pretty hot i cant keep my hand on there i feel i should be able to.
the pee hole is a tube that stiks out the side of the case. and is spitting water well straight steady stream . there is no water comeing out the exaust. here i beilive that there should be alot of water comeing out the exaust. as well as the peee hole.. should i do the impeller or is this another problem.
3rd and final question for this thread and thanks againn.. i also have a 75 15 johnson it runs great and spits water . only out the exaust but spits alot .
i can runn this motor for about 20 min and it runs great (lol i just baught this motor for 160 bucks ) its been sitting for a couple years .. so after about 20 min . ill idle down and it will miss and only run on one cylinder. some times if i keep throttle wide open that cyl. will start fireing again and run like a bat out of ??? is this my outter coil going bad on 1 cyl. or more ???? thaks for your help in advance and sorry about the puncuation .
