Quick question about swapping powerheads, done some research but still cant find some of the answers im looking for.
I have a 87 johnson 110 with a bad powerhead and good leg 25" shaft. I have a line on a 77 johnson 140 in good running condition with spare parts 20" shaft and no power tilt trim.
Can i swap the powerhead off the 140 onto my 110 so I can keep my xl shaft and power trim tilt?
If not The shaft length isnt a big deap but if i swap the whole motor is there a way to adapt the power trim unit over?
Any help or useful advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated, help this guy out getting back on the water and staying sane!
