Hi, I have been working on a smoking problem with fuel & oil in the cowl on my 200hp(J200pxeen).Engine also spits and has a miss. I replaced a bad fuel pump(had dark green at water separator) I checked the 6 recirc check valves(working ok). I found another check valve with an arrow on it(part#0434927) Check valve ok but i could not blow through the hose going to the top of intake.I removed the starter and found the hose crushed closed.I am waiting on a new check valve and hose from Boats.net. Can you please tell me what this check valve does, the hoses run from the bottom of intake? to top of intake? I also have oil mixed fuel coming out of bottom hose. Is that normal? I am pretty sure my engine will quiet down after repair. Thanks for the help. Gizmo

It's recirculation hose, removes puddled gas/oil from bottom of engine to top of engine.

Great! Thank you. does it work on vacum? I thought it might be a main bearing check valve. This would explain the puddling in the cowlLast edited by greengizmo; 05-03-2012, 07:59 PM.
