92 johnson 175 vj175glenc update no oil alarm

Good Morning everyone!

OK, this is what I have. No oil alarm comes on after idling a few minutes. Can squeeze oil primer bulb and alarm goes off for few minutes then comes back on. Can disconnect vro wiring and alarm goes off. duh! Also noticed gas primer bulb does not get hard when priming ! Any help greatly needed and thankful for. What should my next steps be? Thanks

Sounds like the VRO pump needs to be replaced, not pumping enough oil.
