Good Morning!
I started my motor for the first time after 6 years. She sounds good at idle.
After a couple of minutes the no oil alarm sounds off. I notice also the tach is reading fast about 1500 rpm when it is actually about 700 rpm. The tach also has a tick in the needle ( jumps ) every few seconds. Then I also noticed my volt meter needle is broken but reading voltage and the tilt and trim gauge is also broken needle but not reading correctly. Not sure where to start diagnostics. VRO, Tack wiring, rectifier ? Note there is oil mixed with the gas.
Dont want to buy a vro if it maybe another problem or several may exsist.
Please let me know where to start. I do have a service manual. But but goves lots of information if the horn does not work, but not for if it is sounding. Thanks Steve
