Thanks for help with earlier question.
New problem discovered as progressing getting the boat in order..........the accelerator cable to the Johnson30 is frozen. I've been told to soak it in a bath of diesel. Would this work or would something like acetone be better?
Otherwise buy a new cable. Cost ?

Hoping for some guidance.

You should just replace the cable. They usually run around $40-50 each.
