  • Looper or crossflow

    I have a 1989 Johnson 200 GT
    m/n J200STLCED s/n Q02321531
my compression is an even 93 on each cylinder - I am told this is low if it's not a looper but I don't know if in fact it's a looper or not
    sorry for my ignorance
I am selling the boat and don't want to misrepresent - by the way the motor runs great on a 1989 21' Gambler 206cc

Its hard to say without seeing in person, however that should be a looper. 93PSI is still low, rule of thumb anything under 100PSI is low

Thanks for the info - it is an 1989 and would think there might be some loss but at 93 I think I am secure without investing - would it make a diff. if the engine had not warmed up?

Yes, but not a major difference.
