OK, I give up. HELP!
I am trying to re-assemble a fuel pump, using the OEM fuel pump rebuild kit, WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS. I am not sure which way the pump was (as far as the intake/outlet fittings), so I don't know which of the layouts to use (there's about 6 different configurations).
I've tried about 4 or 5 times, moving the small spring and tip to position C and position F, and various ways of aiming the intake and outlet parts.
Is there any simple way to understand this thing? I know when you're done, you can blow into the inlet, and should NOT be able to blow into the outlet, but as close as I've come to success on that is to have a blubbering sound blowing in the inlet (not "clear"), and not being to blow into the outlet.
Tips?
