Johnson 3.3hp 1991 hood

Hi. Just inherited a Johnson 3.3hp 1991 outboard with no user or service manual. This might seem stupid but I can't figure out how to remove the top hood without unscrewing about 6 fixing screws !!!!! There must be a simpler way????

Unfortunately the only way is to remove the cowling is with the screws. You can go to your local hardware store and obtain tool-less screws (wingnut, etc).

I thought as much...many thanks for the info....lets hope I don't need to do any maintenance work on the engine whilst out at sea !!!!!
