1980 115 hp trim oil leak

Have a 1980 J115TLCSA outboard that is leaking oil around end cap trim cylinder and drain plug for the power tilt and trim.
Would like to know what type of oil is recomended to use.
and is replacing the seals around trim cylinder end cap straight forward (looks simple enough, just wondering if theres any tricky bits that i need to know about)

You would use ATF fluid. Changing the seals is straight forward after you have removed the end caps.
