Hello,
Have a 30HP Johnson which injested a load of mud,weed and sand when a strong westerly pushed my boat away from a channel. Thought I'd flushed it well later, removed lower section of outboard,checked for prop damage,checked impeller, cleaned everything and put it back together again.
Started motor which sounded sweet but no water coming thru tell- tale.
Any ideas. Hope it's not a bung water pump.

Try blowing out the indicator hose with compressed air. Very commen for the indicator hose to get plugged.

johnson 30hp cooling blockage

Thanks for reply. I had removed and cleared the hose already, so what should I do now?
