WOT range?

Hello. I have a 2000 Johnson 115 (j115vxsss)on a 1999 Sea Pro 19cc bay. I bought an owners manual that states my WOT rpm range is 4500-5500. However the local mechanic said my V4 with the 25" shaft (V6 gearcase) has a range upwards of 5800-5900. My current WOT is 5900 @ 39.9mph trimmed out. Anyone have an accurate rpm range on this particular model 115hp. I just don't want to blow anything up.

5500 - 6000 is the rpm range.

Thanks for the quick reply. I wonder why the manual doesn't specify for this model.
